Gary Barbera, of BarberaCares, has been a proud partner of The Philadelphia Inquirer for over 30 years. On Tuesday, September 10th, Gary Barbera was during one of The Inquirer’s newest event series called Inquiring Minds. They opened their Philly Football Talk event by thanking their long-time partner Gary Barbera and showcasing the BarberaCares logo for all attendees to see. 
Inquiring Minds is an event series that brings readers inside the newsroom to talk to journalists. Reasers get to deep dive into discussions ranging from news, sports, opinion, photography, the arts — and get a-behind-the-scenes look at how journalists uncover some of Philadelphia’s ground-breaking stories.
Pat McLoone, The Inquirer sports managing editor, led the Eagles coverage team of Les Bowen, Jeff McLane and Paul Domowitch in a dialogue about the team’s session outlook in their Week 1 analysis and more. All excited attendees included Philadelphia Eagles fans.

Their mother Rita Barbera known to all as “Lovely Rita” was kind, socially conscience, and valued family and hardwork. Their father, Eugene Barbera planted the automotive seed through his business, Palm Auto, a carwash, gas station, auto repair and body shop center located in Fishtown before it bloomed into the sprawling area it is today. The Barbera family would work for their father as children inspired by their father’s work ethic and client satisfaction standards. Their dad said, “Hard work never hurt anyone but Aggravation sure will kill you.”
