Gary Barbera Donates to Boys and Girls Club

Long-time Philly car guy and philanthropist Gary Barbera is dedicated to supporting various organizations and charitable events in the Philadelphia area, as well as surrounding communities. His organization, Gary Barbera Cares, was established to help benefit youth programs in the Greater Delaware Valley, which includes metro Philadelphia, Southeastern Pennsylvania, and Southern New Jersey. In addition to assisting families and individuals through Gary Barbera Cares, Mr. Barbera also strives to donate his time and money to other charities and programs to help the less fortunate in the community.

Boys and Girls Club

It is for this reason that Mr. Barbera donates to programs put on by The Boys and Girls Club of Camden County (NJ). In supporting the Boys and Girls Club with contributions over the years, Mr. Barbera is able to provide scholarships and opportunities to a number of children and young adults, paving the way for them to be successful in life. In 2014, for example, Mr. Barbera’s donations were well received by Bernadette Shanahan, executive director of The Boys and Girls Club of Camden County. His support helped a young man named Trevon Ellis get financial assistance for college so he could pursue his dream of higher education and start a career in the always-important information technology field.

Abigail Jimenez, the 2014 Youth of the Year in Camden County, is also pursuing her collegiate dreams thanks to the generous donations made by Mr. Barbera and his organization.
