March 28, 2013 –
Over 200 guests joined Todd Herremans and other athletes and celebrities for the Herremans Foundation Inaugural Hoops for Help Fundraising event. Held in the West Club at Lincoln Financial Field, the event served as first fundraiser for the Foundation and kicked off the most exciting two weeks in college basketball while helping to raise money for local charities including, Autism Research, No Place for Hate, Habitat for Humanity, American Cancer Society, Cooper Hospital and Magee Rehab- brain injury research.
The evening started with a relaxed VIP cocktail hour that gave guests a chance to mingle and take photos with Todd and other Philadelphia Eagle players and also enjoy the amazing singing of Philadelphia native Tim Williams. During cocktails, new head coach Chip Kelly stopped by to show his support for the Foundation. Guests also had a chance to check out the many items available at the silent auction.
After cocktails, guests moved to their tables that featured striking centerpieces designed by local florist Carl Allen, which incorporated basketballs signed by the Philadelphia 76ers – the basketballs were a surprise table gift for one lucky person at each table. Once everyone was seated Todd began the drawing to see which Sweet 16 team would be assigned to each table. The drawing ended just as the first games of the evening began airing on the TV screens throughout the venue.
The evening progressed with a buffet dinner, followed by a silent auction, more great music and some competitive pop-in shot challenges where Todd easily took down Eagles Tight End Brent Celek. As each guest left they were giving an event gift bag that featured a Herremans Foundation T-shirt along with other great items from our sponsors.
